Hawaii gets into BCS Sugar Bowl game

The Colt Brennan Show is heading to prime time! Now that Hawaii has completed their undefeated season they will get selected to the Sugar Bowl to try to keep their magical season going. It looks as though Hawaii will be matched up against Georgia since they didn't play in the SEC Championship and will get leap frogged by LSU to #2 in the BCS. Colt will get snubbed in the Heisman voting and will go into the Sugar Bowl with something to prove and a huge chip on the shoulder of the entire Warrior football team. Only time will tell the result and I look forward to watching the game from my upper deck seats that only cost me a small, but very worthwhile, fortune.

The greatest rivalry in sports

Army vs Navy. Sure it isn't getting the national recognition of a Big 12 title game or the SEC Championship. How can you ignore the dedication and not just during game day. This a rivalry in every aspect of life at these institutions. All sports large and small. Club sports, varsity sports, mens and womens. Sure everyone can tell me that Michigan/Ohio State is a huge rivalry and probably bigger or maybe Texas/Oklahoma, Oregon/Oregon State, Duke/NC(basketball obviously) and so on. But how many people that go to those schools know when the next game is in another sport other than football? The freshmen(plebes) are required to know the next Army Navy contest that is coming up. How many other schools have this game at a neutral location? Philadelphia has been the home to this tradition for most years and just adds to the tradition. Each school has a company that runs a "game" ball from their respective school to the field regardless of weather or time of night the ball keeps on running.

Official Google Blog: OpenSocial makes the web better

Good news today from our friends over at Google. An open source way of adding an application to many of the most popular Social Networking sites. We look forward to seeing how this works more in the future and how can the service help out our schools.

What's on your school calendar?

The answer is a lot of activities, events, sports, meetings and so forth. How organized are they? Probably not very and most people don't care about most of it. OurHighSchool.org's Calendar system allows you to easily add all of your events and will create different calendars for each group such as students, parents, teachers, staff and other groups. Just check it out and easily create a clean looking, easy to use calendar that will make everyone's life so much easier.

School Merchandising

So how does your high school do their merchandising? Does each sport team, club and group just do their own thing? The most effective way is to work together while still getting what you want and not having to let someone else do it. Getting your printing done out in the local area where you live may support your local small business but what is it doing for you and your school? Now don't get me wrong I am all about supporting small business and there is nothing more quaint and appreciative than a small business however, do you just pay more to pay more? The answer should be you do what you can to benefit your situation not anyone else's. So what am I talking about? Good question. Large companies work with large companies so that they can take advantage of two concepts, economies of scale and synergies. This is basically the idea of buying in bulk for big business. So take a few minutes to think about your situation and we can see what happens next. OurHighSchool.org has a very integrated way of selling merchandise for your school. You can sell items online without any inventory, shipping or other costs to you. If someone buys something from your school's online store you make money without doing a thing. They also have a print company that they work with that has no setup fees, no sales tax, shipping is alway free and guaranteed results. The best part is that the people at OurHighSchool.org are always available to help you with your graphic designs and will even setup the shirt online for you. So check them out and compare your current costs to what they have to offer.

Extra! Extra! Read all about it....

We have all read the school newspaper. Some of these are high tech projects that don't need any help as they have great circulation rate and probably publish online as well. With the OurHighSchool.org network your school's writers and editors can write directly for your school's sports, activities, events and much more. It is as simple as writing a blog and quickly posts on the correct page for the event in question. It is a great way to get exposure for your school, your school newspaper and the writers and other staff. Check it out and let us know what you think about it.

High School Fundraising

So you are trying to earn money for your team, club, school and other groups. This is always a very interesting proposition. What are we going to sell? How many different things are we going to sell. Do you spend more time selling stuff than actually doing what you want to be doing? That was the case for most activities when I was in school. There are many ways to earn money but they almost always involve some sort of door-to-door pressure/guilt selling tactics. OurHighSchool.org provides schools a very new and interesting way to earn money. You can use the site to easily track school news, events, sports and more and while you are using the site you will earn money for yourself and for your school. The OurHighSchool.org profit sharing system is an innovative fund raising idea. Now instead of selling, delivering, tracking and all those extra headaches with the normal fund raising ways you can just use the OurHighSchool.org system and earn money without any extra effort. Check it out and see for yourself today.
